Hmm. I would vote that you let it out. After all, if she reads your journal every once and awhile, perhaps she is not as distant. That gives you a little better odds than if, say, she was a complete stranger. At least she might recognize your journal name, and that's a start. Change is the only constant, so there should be no reason to fear it, eh?

Of course, as a wuss myself, I often find myself being a little too subtle in my approaches, so I'm not exactly one to preach ^_^().

Things happen in weird ways, though, so, worst case scenario, even rejection might not be as bad as it seems. After all, what seems like a curse might be a blessing, and what seems like a blessing might be a curse. Nothing to do but take action and see what happens.

Besides, it's a new year. Why not?

Btw- happy belated birthday! I'm sorry I don't keep in contact nearly as much as I used to. I have neither long distance nor internet at my new house, so it's hard for me to keep up. I have the traditional birthday and christmas gifts for you, but I'm not sure when I'll see you next... hmm...
