LEMURS OMG.

elsajeniSo, today after work I went and fetched Dana and we went to Madagascar and then went to Chinatown and got food. Because food is good, and cheap Chinese food is even better than normal food.
Here is my official recommendation for the evening:
Go see Madagascar.
The whole movie was funny; I giggled throughout most of it. There was one moment, though, that made me laugh so hard I actually bonked my head on the back of the seat in front of me and was at serious risk of falling completely out of my chair. I'm... not really worried about whether or not I spoil a random funny moment of Madagascar for anyone, but in case you are, whatever, I'll put it behind a cut.
See, there are these lemurs. They are wonderful lemurs. By which I mean, they are completely insane lemurs. And at one point, there's a big lemur meeting, during which the lemur king announces, by way of exposition, "We have always been hunted by the [name of predator that I think is made up]!", at which the lemurs panic, like, OMG he said the predators that means they are coming RIGHT NOW TO EAT US OMG!!! There is a terrific scene of lemur panic. We focus on one lemur after another, all of them screaming and waving their arms (well, paws) in the air and running around, and then, finally, we focus on one who is screaming something specific, and is holding up a book.
He is holding up a book titled To Serve Lemur. And he is screaming, "It's a cookbook! IT'S A COOKBOOK!!!!"
This has no relation to anything else in the movie. Ever. At all.
This was the point at which I hit my head on the seat in front of me. Because I? Am graceful.
There, see? The spoiler is all cut and pretty. But my point is, it's hilarious and it refers to, like, every good pop-culture element ever, especially several great sci-fi moments in pop culture, and you should see it.
Also, I am covered in glitter.
