I watched the ladies' short program figure skating last night. There was a lot of terrificness going on all around. (Of course, there was also a lot of stupid, but... figure skating. Goes with the territory.) Overall, two girls who are going somewhere spectacular in the next few years: Tugba Karademir, representing Turkey, and Elene Gedevanishvili, representing Georgia. Also, Dick Button, my deeply beloved figure skating commentator, has been unusually bitchy lately, which is fantastically entertaining.

In other news, today, on the way back from being randomly taken out to lunch, I saw a chicken on the side of the road. Just... hanging out. About a block from campus.

It was a nice-looking chicken, though. Pretty coloring.
