HELP THE MEMES ARE EATING MY FLESH.

Step 1: Put your iTunes or equivalent on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 20 songs that come up, no matter how embarrassing. (Also, skip past instrumental songs, because "dooo dooo doooooooo" are not lyrics.)
Step 3: Bold the songs when someone guesses correctly.

Also, looking them up is definitely cheating.

1. Did you think I'd gone away? / This is the face you saw that day
2. Well hoist a hand, becalmed upon a troubled sea
3. Here comes the sun
4. Anna, you come and ask me, girl / To set you free, girl
5. This is 1968, dearies, not 1948!
6. Sappy, pathetic little me / That was the girl I used to be
7. I can't be / Do what you want with me
8. Well I'm a shock trooper in a stupor, yes I am
9. Close your eyes and I'll kiss you
10. To lead a better life, I need my love to be here
11. 14 Rue de Savoy, that's where the flat was let
12. Sing, Michael, sing / On the route of the 19 bus
13. How can people be so heartless?
14. Dark in the city, night is a wire
15. Glide on, mighty pterodactyl / On wings of American pride
16. The Queen of Light took her bow / And then she turned to go
17. He met Marmalade down in old Moulin Rouge
18. Hey, baby, won't you take a chance? / Say that you'll let me have this dance
19. Hey, daddio / I don't wanna go
20. Hold me close and tell me how you feel

16. "Battle of Evermore", Led Zeppelin -- [livejournal.com profile] oxfordman
17. "Lady Marmalade", the Moulin Rouge version -- although tentatively identified by other people first, [livejournal.com profile] oruhamiko gets the credit, because she was confident

That's not that embarrassing, except for having, like, 5 songs each from 2 bands for some reason. It makes sense for one of them, but the other one... there are only about 15 songs total by that band in my 40-odd hours of music. Windows Media Player does not fully understand this "random" business.

Oh, computers. They say they are random, but they lie.

3. Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles
4. Anna - The Beatles
6. Sunday Morning - No Doubt
8. The Ramones! Although I do not remember the song title, wah.
9. All My Loving - The Beatles
10. Here, There, and Everywhere - The Beatles
11. ... Sleater Kinney?
14. Hungry Like the Wolf - Duran Duran
15. I have no idea what song this is, BUT I WANT IT SO BAD.
16. Led Zeppelin. I'm not sure of the song, but I feel like they are the only band dorkalicious enough to write that.
17. Lady Marmalade - Weren't there two version? There was the original, who I have no clue about, and then there was the movie version with Pink and Lil Kim and Missy Elliot and a metric ton of other singers.
