Ngh. I have to do nightmarish geography maps sometime before Friday, probably mostly tonight. Then I have to do everything assigned for the weekend on Thursday night (some feat, since it won't be assigned until Friday) because I am going to spend the weekend in College Station being a complete and total dork. I am going to Aggiecon. A sci-fi convention. For the second year in a row. Oh god, I really am that big of a loser.
And then immediately on Monday I have to get re-ahead, because on Tuesday I have the stupid wind ensemble concert (anyone who wants to see me do basically nothing onstage, you're welcome to come) and (hurrah hurrah) Kate's senior recital!
Kate is a harpist friend of mine; we study with the same teacher; we've been studying since about the same age; we tend to play the same sort of music. The only difference is that she's much, much better than me. And I'm going to her senior recital next week; it should be quite a show. The ensemble will not be the same without her. Also I'll have to either do solo gigs or train up little timid Sarah, who plays very well but with a tendency toward extreme quiet. Urgh, I hate solo gigs. Training up of Sarah it is, then. It's about time she started gigging anyway. Kate and I did our first duo job when I was eleven, and Sarah's fifteen now. God, I feel like the Old Master or something. This is ridiculous.
Speaking of nightmarish harp-related stuff, I have to go practice until I raise blisters. Urgh.
But first! A random question: what's the weather like elsewhere than Houston?

Date: 2002-03-21 02:59 pm (UTC)::looks outside:: the weather? It's on the worse half of paradise and heading the wrong way. Yesterday and the days before were beautiful. Today is in the 30's and 40's. Not too cold, but not exactly warm.
