hmm

So... I haven't posted in a week or so, right? (I am unsure of the date. I am always unsure of the date. Oh wait, it's up there at the top of the page. It's the 30th.) News time, then.

Today I gave up caffeine, because the idea to do so came to me in a dream. I woke up yesterday morning, and the first thought to enter my mind was, "Today I shall give up caffeine." Then rational thought returned, and I thought, "Wait a minute. I was up all night doing homework and have had perhaps 2 hours of sleep at most. TOMORROW I shall give up caffeine." And, since today was that tomorrow, I did. Unfortunately, since I am telling the whole story, I must confess that I caved around 2:30 this afternoon, just after 7th period, at which time I had reached the point of withdrawal that I could no longer focus my eyes on the board in chemistry. Starting tomorrow I will try weaning myself gradually off the stuff. (For the record, I have now given up caffeine at least 7 times since the 8th grade.)

In other news... wait a minute. There was some other news, I know there was. What was it?

I have remembered my other news!

1) It is raining. For those of you who are in Houston, that is hardly news. It has been raining pretty much constantly all week. For those of you who are in Wichita (well, that one of you, anyway), this is, perhaps, news, but fairly boring news. So why am I wasting my time on it?

2) Tomorrow is Lawson's last day as principal of Bellaire. Starting next week, Salem (currently an AP) is our interim principal; after a month Lawson will be back as a part-time counselor. (Granted, for some of you this is not news either. And a few of you may not have a clue what I'm talking about. But it makes sense, I promise.)

And now I am supposed to be doing something else, so I will quit tapping at my keyboard and... go do whatever it is I am supposed to be doing. (I wonder what it is?)
