I don't know, newsy stuff I guess

So... first, about my recital. Those of you who are sitting around posting comments to the effect of "damn I wish I'd been able to go," well, no, actually, you don't. Not if you've got any sense, that is. Because I didn't like how I played, and a 13-year-old played the piece I want to play on the recital next semester, and I was reminded of how a different girl who I'm better than is upstaging me by slipping in next fall with the piece I'm playing next spring, and in general I just would've been in a bad temper and picked a fight with you. (I did end up picking a fight with my parents instead, which was at least better than picking a fight with friends, because fighting is my current ground state with my mom most of the time anyway.)

Aside from that... went to the Doctor's Orchestra performance tonight hoping to see Nadja, an old harp role model, now in medical school... unfortunately she didn't play this evening, guess there were no harp parts. This afternoon went to Star Wars again, just with Russell this time... damn that's a good movie. Also I'm attempting to give up sodas. Not caffeine, but actual sodas. I want to drink lots of water instead, it's healthier. But I hate bottled water, it tastes like plastic. Argh.

So... I guess it's been a good day. Off to consider sleeping.
