Well, today was going reasonably well, especially with the whole early-dismissal thing, until just after 7th period. That's when this guy Stephen, who's been harassing me and refusing to leave me alone basically since 9th grade, decided to come annoy me as I walked down the hall. So, I asked him - politely - to please leave me alone. He says, "What's so wrong with me?" (I've been having to tell him to go away a lot lately, and apparently he's finally noticed a pattern.) My answer - no longer really bothering to be polite - is, "What's wrong with you is that I've been asking you for a year and a half to leave me alone and you won't. Now please leave me alone." And I sped up and walked away. And some guy - this is a random guy, who I ended up in front of solely because I was getting away from Stephen and who has no connection to either of us or to the conversation we just had - reaches out and fucking shoves me.

Yes. Shoves me. And then ignores me when I turn around and look at him like "You have a problem?" Hey, bubba, guess what. I don't care if it makes you think I'm a bitch; I've got a right to go to school without being harassed by some guy who can't get the message that I'm not interested, and I'm gonna stand up for that right, and if that makes you want to shove me in the hallway then you are the one with the problem.

Thank you, I'm done.

I just realized I never wrote anything about Minnesota. Well, I went there for a week, in between Simon's Rock and Swuusi. It was pretty good stuff. I got to spend a week with my little cousins, Andy (9) and Alex (5). They're great kids. We went bowling, miniature golfing, swimming, fishing, boating, jet-skiing, etc., etc. Everything up there is outdoors; it's gorgeous. And then there's huge blue lakes everywhere. There aren't a whole lot of lakes around here, and even when there are, they're brown. In Minnesota the water's blue. And - amazing news - I got a tan. Me. With a tan.

The other interesting point in Minnesota: I met my grandpa. Technically, yeah, I've met him before. But, the last time I saw him was about 10 years ago. He writes me a couple letters every year, around Christmas and my birthday, and they're always great letters, but that's about all the contact I've had with him. Hell, I didn't even know I had a step-grandma. They're both doing good, though - going a little deaf and generally getting older, but they're good. I'm the only granddaughter (out of 6 kids), not to mention the oldest, so yeah, I get a little extra doting. It was a good time. I need to get organized to go up there more often, see them, play in the lakes, maybe see a moose. (Oh, I truly hope to see a moose. Yeah, yeah, I'm a loser.)

So, news for today... nothing much. The incident after 7th period previously described. The horrible little band director who seems to think band is the only class any of us are taking and therefore we should be able to devote all our after-school time to rehearsals, get to class early, and leave class late. Chrissy being an absolute goddess and putting up our mallets for us so we could all get to 7th period on time. Homework; more homework. Finally got the physics done. And that's it. My life is boring.
