argh!

So the first draft isn't finished and I desperately want to revise what there is of it.

The main character's ex-boyfriend has... vanished. They were together for about 30,000 words, then they broke up, then I didn't feel like dealing with him, then I forgot he'd ever existed. Now he's vanished. Argh. Argh.

Same thing happened to the character loosely based on Summer. Actually I just realized that about 10 minutes ago, when I started writing a hugely pivotal scene that had her in it and suddenly couldn't remember the last time I'd typed her name. Turns out it was about, oh, 25,000 words ago. Crap. (Also, said hugely pivotal scene depends on an earlier scene having happened. An earlier scene which, of course, didn't. I suppose I'll have to do something about that, too.)

So, I'll be trying to edit those two back in, assuming that I ever finish the first draft in the first place. I'm going to go insane.

I don't think I have much else to say.
