Feb. 10th, 2003 07:27 pmIt has officially been the Weekend of Chaos and Pain. Sadie broke two strings immediately before the HYS concert yesterday and restrung them in an absolute panic, leading, of course, to the inevitable result that she put the wrong string on for one of them, which meant that for about a third of the Mahler she was only playing half the part. (It was a rather significant string.) The Philharmonia piccolo player was in a car accident on the way to rehearsal and broke a finger and couldn't play the piccolo. I appear to have pinched a nerve or something in my shoulder and can't play the harp until it stops hurting.
Returning to something real to say. The novel is behaving itself nicely at the moment. Wuthering Heights is boring but has given me basically a free 100 on a journal assignment, so I suppose it's all right really. I have been suddenly seized by the urge to take pictures and thus need to go buy film and try to make my camera work. Today in calculus I took a nice little nap, from which I was rudely awakened by Mr. Mazzoni announcing a pop quiz. (Sample internal monologue: "What? A quiz? In comp sci? Wait, that's not Jimmy's voice. Where am I? Is this calculus? What's this quiz over? Oh, shit...")
You know, something to say had just occurred to me. Literally 10 seconds ago. Now I don't know what it was. Arrrrrgh. Anyway, I have so much homework to do that I have no right being online at all, let alone staying online for a long time. Good evening.
