Oh, as if I have anything to say.

Well... I guess, that I can't imagine the idea of life without music. I don't mean listening to music, I mean playing music. It's a life, you know? You've got to choose a life, and this is the one I've chosen. I want to work harder every day. I want to be in a DCI corps (Boston Crusaders? please? I adore them). I want to be one of those people who everyone knows is in band.

Moving on from geekitude. The boat did great. Evelyn was an absolute star. My paddle broke and she got us to the side of the pool by herself, and this having never paddled a boat before. The kid can't even swim.

Jeff (small percussionist) forgot his music when we left for UIL band today. Not okay. However, other people had copies and he had some memorized, so it could have been worse. I'm torn between two reactions and would like you, my loyal readers, to give your opinions.
1) It could have been a lot worse, so I should go easy on him.
2) I should be a real hard-ass, because if he pulls this kind of shit again, it could be a lot worse.
