Best suggestion I've gotten so far is that we go to Baja California, where we can see whales; the train journey there is also supposed to be great. However, this seems like it might not be totally feasible, since my mom immediately said, "There is no way I would've let you go to Mexico without an adult when you were 16!" and all the friends I'm considering taking with me are around 16, and I consider my mom a fairly representative mom. So, more suggestions would be appreciated. Somewhere vaguely westward that I can get to by train or bus.

I'm about to go to the Alley with my parents and see Proof (although I won't actually be posting this entry until we get back or possibly even tomorrow, by which I mean Sunday), which is supposed to be quite good (edited after returning from the Alley: it was). I'm dressed all formally and feel very sophisticated and New-York-y. I have a scarf and everything. (I am very bad at wearing the scarf, though, since I live in Houston and have no experience with such garments. It makes me feel most awkward.)

So today I went and bought a book of cross-stitch alphabets; I've already chosen the ones I want to use for the inscription on my eagle. (Yes, ones: one for uppercase and one for lowercase. And it's just going to say "Gwaihir Windlord," I decided to drop the "the.") I also bought a new Harry Potter Lego set. The Dueling Club. I think I'm addicted.

But they have little capes! It's so cute! And there's all kinds of moving parts! (There's a little swiveling throne-type chair which I think could entertain me for hours, and also a little dueling platform with bits that flip backwards so that you can realistically fling your little Lego wizards backwards when an especially strong spell hits them. I am way easily amused.)

And another side note about upcoming entries: it has come to my attention that I have never done one of those annoying surveys. Therefore, I shall be doing one shortly.

Watched about 5 minutes of the Super Bowl, then got bored. Watched halftime, although as a major band geek I was much more interested in what the TSU Ocean of Soul was doing than I was in what Janet Jackson was doing. Although I did notice that she really looks almost exactly like what Michael Jackson looked like about 5 or 6 surgeries ago.

Then, as I say, got bored, wandered off, and did homework instead. I'm currently feeling very cranky toward my math paper. Did all the math today, but 2 answers that should have come out the same (calculating the distance between 2 lines using 2 different methods) didn't. Then I caught a mistake in one of them and thought I had it, reworked everything from that point onward, and they still weren't the same. Arrrgh. And I still have to take all this math and turn it into a paper.

Right. Looking on the bright side. Um... don't know what it is, exactly, but I'm sure there is one.

So T.H. Rogers Homecoming is this Friday. The closer it gets, the more freaked out about it I get. Wonder if Morgan's going to show up. We were really good friends, and then sometime in ninth grade she accidentally found out I was bi and, well, we'd pretty much stopped talking by then anyway, but I think that was what finished it for good.

Oh hell, speaking of Rogers, need to remember to add Amy to the friends list. Um. Will do so tomorrow. Am tired now. Going to bed.
