Oh, SO much to update on.
May. 31st, 2004 10:26 pmOkay, so first of all, kind of graduated. Thrilling. Walked across a stage wearing a stupid hat and got handed a random piece of paper (not, mind you, an actual diploma), then nearly got decapitated by other people throwing the stupid hats at the end of the ceremony. Those things are a hazard to life and limb.
Second: So I saw Shrek 2 today-- it's pretty good, actually-- but the best part of all was the previews, because I saw a Harry Potter preview and finally got a good look at that scene everyone's been on about with Snape teaching the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. And, um, ooh. (There's a small group of actors, all of them British and definitely old enough to be my father, if not my grandfather, whose voices I find very... compelling. Alan Rickman is among them. I found myself hunting around for a book in which to turn to page 394. Yes, sir, Professor. Overall, not a good time to be sitting next to my mother.)
Anyway... oh, and my uncle gave me a Palm Pilot! It has a little digital camera! It takes very terrible pictures, but still! I am so entertained by it!
And, um, wow, apparently that's it. I thought I had more to say than that. Apparently my life is more boring than I thought.
Oh! Rice roommate forms! That's what it was! I love the one that actually gets sent to my roommate, it's got such lovely questions. "If you could have a romantic or torrid relationship with any person, real or fictional, modern or historic, who would it be and why?"
(Glorfindel. Yeah, shut up. No one deserves to be replaced by Liv Tyler. He's earned some love.)
