I just drove myself crazy hunting all over my room trying to find a select few Beatles albums. See, last night I happened to hear the song "Western Union" on the radio and wondered aloud whom it was by, so my dad looked it up online, printed off a bio of the band (the Five Americans, as it turns out), and as an extra tidbit, printed off a copy of the lyrics. They're sitting in front of me, and it's been running through my head for roughly 24 hours now. Finally, fed up with just having it in my head, I decided I wanted something roughly similar, and of course the closest I have is some good early Beatles, so I set off to hunt it up-- looking especially for Please Please Me, the album on whose cover they all look about 14. (Needless to say, the 14-ish-ness is especially true of Paul McCartney. There's something about those pudgy cheeks... anyway, beside the point.)

I found a little stack of other ones, but I COULDN'T FIND Please Please Me ANYWHERE, which mildly annoyed me. And by "mildly annoyed me," I mean "drove me completely batshit insane with frustration."

And at last, after a solid ten minutes of hunting around my room like a wild woman and flinging out all the contents of the dresser drawers where CDs have been known to hide, I gave up and flung myself down in front of the computer in a rage and glanced past the speaker at the stack of CDs currently in heavy rotation. And there, somehow-- God knows why, as that's a stack of CDs I'm currently listening to almost daily and I haven't listened to it in months-- was Please Please Me.

So now I am happily ensconced in songs such as "Misery" and "Chains," which virtually no one is familiar with. Ahhh.
