was a wonderful day. First there was the morning, which was unremarkable. I don't even remember what I did. Then in the afternoon I went to the Galleria with Russell, who (you are about to think I am a seriously weird person) gave me an invisible horse. Then there was the evening. That was possibly the best part, except for the invisible horse. I went with Jesus and her family to see Some Like It Hot at the new Hobby Center downtown. It was very, very cool (although Jesus's dad insisted upon paying for the Damn Yankees T-shirt I wanted, rarr, at least it was only 5 bucks). It featured a mafia tapdance number, which every musical should have. The dancing definitely was the best part about it.

Then there's today. I didn't do a whole lot. I went to church, helped Emily with her workshop for SWUUSI (damn, that's getting close now), then came home and packed. Although I did call Ram, who is sick and who may or may not be going to the New York area (possible plans to meet in New York next weekend; hopefully that'll work out, it would be nice).

All those who read this, please do not be irritated by my lack of posting over the next month and a half. I may be able to post while at the creative writing program, but visiting colleges, hanging out in Minnesota, and sleeping in tents with no air conditioning at SWUUSI will not have internet access as an option. Sorry.

Now... I'm tired. I've got a lot to think about. I'm still trying to come up with a way to save the world, but I don't know if it's even possible; can you save the world from itself? I need to talk to an experienced superhero. I know I'm an idealistic fool, but in the end maybe that's the best thing for me to be. Goodnight.

tsk tsk tsk Betsy... have a bit more faith in your boy. Personal health be damned, I said I'd be there as long as my mother had the will and the money to get me a ticket on such short notice. And, well, this is the first time that my mother has purchased anything over the internet. The tickets will be in my hand by Tuesday evening, possibly after my visit to the local neighborhood cardiologist ;)

Oh, and btw, I figured out part of why I felt like shit. I still say that I've come down with something or other, but I had accidentally slipped a bunch of caffeine into my diet two nights ago. In other words, an otherwise small illness got blown out of proportion by a coincidental case of withdrawal. heh... I guess that means I'll be abstaining from soda for awhile, just to be safe.

See, it is possible to quit ;)

I'll try to call tomorrow, but it's a pretty full day. As is the day after. And the day after. And the day after. My gawd... whenever will I have the time to pack?!? For better or worse, we're only a plan away from having a date in the big apple...

I guess that means I might be seeing you unbearably soon, huh?
