somewhat excessive use of parentheses

I've been adding a lot of people to my friends list lately, editing my userinfo, that sort of thing. I suspect this has something to do with the weather, or maybe the fact that I finally have free time and have forgotten what I used to do with it and so am running around doing pointless things like rewriting my list of interests three times in a day while I try to figure out what I should be doing.
The preceding paragraph once had a point. However, said point seems to have run off somewhere. My sincerest apologies.
Overall... I would say that it has been a nice week. I had a birthday and for the second time in my life actually felt different on my birthday (the previous time was last year; perhaps this is something that develops around a certain age? does everyone feel this on turning sixteen and seventeen? no, on second thought, probably not). I saw The Two Towers on opening day and was absolutely astounded and thunderstruck and... and all those other wonderful adjectives that I can't think of just at the moment but will probably come up with the instant I save this post. (It was, to put it simply, quite terrific and you should all see it as soon as possible and so on and so forth, believe me you don't actually want to get me started on this topic.) Today I got done with school, went out for an early lunch with Russell and Megan, sat around wasting time in various music stores. I was licked repeatedly by a very affectionate puppy named Simon (I've no idea what kind of dog he was: something resembling a dachshund (dachsund? I really don't know how to spell that) but I don't think he actually was one). Overall, it has been a pleasant week.
