So I was going to post about something that happened yesterday... but I have no earthly idea what it was. Oh, I started playing around with the first page of the Danse Sacree. (Haven't even attempted Danse Profane yet and won't for a while.) My copy hasn't come in yet, but my teacher let me play off hers for a little while. It's really ridiculously hard, given how easy it looks. It's gorgeous, though. And dammit, I will learn them both in one semester and play them on the recital. And play them perfectly, too. Meanwhile, I've been listening to the Mahler so I can get the tempos into my brain; I've been practicing the Rimsky-Korsakov endlessly and it's still kicking my ass; in band I'm playing cymbals really loudly; and music-wise, that's about it.

I joined the game at Katy's house again. Stopped by for a little while, thinking to just observe and see what the game they're playing was like (it's Dark Ages, a version of Vampire, and new, so I wanted to see it in play), and got sucked into it. So I'm once again playing a Toreador. I wanted to get out of this bard/Toreador/Sluagh rut, but I can't seem to. Oh well. I'll try again later, after I'm once again used to gaming. Overall, this should be fun times. Anyone want to name my (male) character?

I really need to go do my physics homework before I go to Blast! this afternoon. That should be fun, at least. It's kind of an evolved version of drum corps... yeah. Good stuff. (Yes, I watch DCI World Championships every Thanksgiving. No, I do not root for the Cavvies like every damn other percussionist in the world. I at least have some pride.) Ergh, off to physics which I hate intensely and violently.
