dreams, the SAT, and a red alert

elsajeniSo I had a dream that I was talking to a friend of mine. We talked about society's need for order and how it was expressed in toilet paper commercials (don't ask me), which somehow led to talking about porn. This is exactly the kind of conversation I have with my friends every day at lunch. Then I woke up. While I was putting on my shoes this morning, I turned on the TV. There was Big Bird at a karaoke bar (well, presumably not one that serves alcohol, since he's Big Bird), singing some song that involved pronouncing, as if it were an actual word, "Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz."
My point is, shouldn't real life at least be a little more realistic than my weird dreams?
Friday night I went to Kiss Me, Kate at the shiny new Hobby Center. Saturday morning I got up and took the SAT. Probably not the best conjunction of events, but oh well, at least I wasn't alone. I saw Jesus-Stephanie at intermission at the show and during the pee break at the SAT. I'm betting that both of us did better than some of the people who got plenty of sleep that night, because hey, we're smart.
Now for the red alert: HYS IS RUINING MY WRISTS!!!!!!! God, what if I get tendonitis? I played rock-solid tense for literally only forty-five minutes yesterday on the fucking Ravel, and my right wrist is still in a state of major soreness. What if I get tendonitis? I can't play tense like this all the time. I can't stay in this orchestra playing parts like this. I seriously cannot take the risk of tendonitis. I love playing in an orchestra, but I flat-out refuse to ruin my chances of ever doing it again for the sake of spending one season doing it in high school.
