Oh, I'm just updating because I don't have anything better to do. Seen some movies lately, I guess. So review time.

Mona Lisa Smile -- oh, don't, just don't. It's not worth six dollars and two hours of your time. And it even has the standard depiction of girls' dorms as luxurious, utterly un-dorm-like places full of scenes excerpted from soft-core porn. Having lived in a dorm and other communal living situations with other girls, I know for a fact that it is not like that. Mostly you all sit around mumbling bitterly about homework and trying not to get caught for whatever it is you've done this time (usually breaking curfew, when it's me, although at Girl Scout camp I used to sneak out and pee in the woods instead of the latrines, which is against the rules as well), until early in the morning, when you shout murderous and half-awake obscenities at the girl whose cell phone is ringing or your roommate, who wants to wake up early and go do yoga but can't control her alarm clock adequately to prevent it from playing Jimmy Buffett songs at top volume for ten minutes when you're trying to sleep. Anyway, the movie sucks. Don't.

Return of the King, for the third time -- oh, God. (Although Becky pointed out to me that, while they're wandering through Mordor, Frodo somehow magically gets his own clothes back. Dammit. And I can't seem to help having laughing fits every time Legolas comes on screen and says something idiotic. For instance: "A diversion!" Um, yes. Even the stupid people in the row behind me, the ones who keep whispering "Is he an elf?" and "Hey, that's Agent Smith!" as loudly as they can, figured that out five minutes ago. You are an elf who is slow on the uptake.)

Bad Santa -- again with the hysterical laughing fits, but this time it's at something that's supposed to be funny. I loved it. Go see it. Seriously.

Aw, Jesus, my mom's waking me up early in the morning. I'm going to sleep. Goodnight.

Oh, and this is the other new icon from [livejournal.com profile] red_moon_rising, who told me to credit [livejournal.com profile] arabella_o.
