Owwww. Pulled something doing Follies. Am now limping around pathetically. But! I did, for once, have an eventful weekend, so I actually have something worth posting to post.

First. Saturday. Dana and I went and ate lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, which was, you know, loud and played a little music we really liked and a lot of music that made us (me, at least) go, "Owww! Owwwwwooo! Stop!" Then we went to see Twelfth Night at the Alley, and I would just like to say that that play was NOT THAT FUNNY when we read it in Mrs. Duhon's class in the 8th grade!!!!! Because really, it's fucking hilarious.

Second. Sunday. I spent the whole day at church, first preparing for Follies -- we did about 5 run-throughs, and in every single one of them my "interpretive dance" to the whale prayer went fine, no injuries at all -- and of course also eating, and then actually doing Follies -- one rendition of the whale dance and now I'm going to be limping for a week and a half. It REALLY HURTS. Owwwoow. Anyway, Follies went really well. We got some good laughs, especially from Jeff (Mark) weeping, and also the voice of God.

So I got to sleep late today. It was really very nice. I got up at about 8, showered, ate breakfast, and then spent the rest of the morning mostly relaxing. I was suddenly struck by inspiration, went and wrote the first few paragraphs of a new story, did some harp... yeah. It was a good morning. Then I came to school and sat in the cafeteria for half an hour because the school is incapable of actually sticking to a fucking schedule, but that's beside the point.

Oh! And last night! My cousin Eric came over for dinner, which is always great. I don't get to see him much, but right now he's in town doing some painting and tiling for a friend. We talked a lot about his travel plans for the summer -- he's doing Europe for the first time. I really want to travel the way he does, go somewhere on the cheap and wander around aimlessly and live on 10 dollars a day. He's the vagabond of the family, the one who sort of bums around and gets his money doing odd jobs and hitchhikes around Chile and, once, got work helping out on an Everest expedition (he stayed at base camp; one of the climbers in his group died on the mountain), and he is by far my favorite cousin. I miss him when he's off somewhere doing something exciting.
