Well, I haven't done much, anyway, aside from getting chatted up outside the Magick Cauldron by a male prostitute who cheerfully and casually dropped into the conversation the information that he was on crystal meth, prompting me and Megan to wonder silently if perhaps we should try to find somewhere better lit to wait for our ride. (In the end, we didn't bother, and as it turned out neither of us got murdered, so evidently things were safe enough where we were. For future reference, however, possibly my friends and I should work out some sort of code for these situations. Not that this is, y'know, a real common dilemma for us or anything.)

Anyway. I haven't been up to much. I've mostly been wishing I were asleep. Practicing a lot. Played the Handel at church; managed to screw up only in bits where no one could tell that I was screwing up. Now am done with the Handel; next up, Bolero and Passacaille (which is probably not spelled correctly) for Milligan, possibly also to play at Youth Sunday. Then the recital. Ugh. My recital program has 2 Bach pieces written for solo violin and transcribed for harp, a Salzedo etude, a Salzedo prelude (from the Five Preludes, which are tough and well-known harp repertoire), 2 Salzedo dances (from the Suite of 8 Dances, which is the only harp piece that actually gets played on KUHF), the Debussy Danses, and a Secret Encore.

Right now I'm trying to find a clue as to how to analyze "Romance de la luna, luna" somewhere. I translated it... it's pretty... but that didn't actually help with the analysis. Stupid Spanish poetry. (Although I did figure out, at least, that the whole thing is a dialogue between the moon and a little boy, which does help.) So, yeah. I'm going to go try to finish analyzing the stupid thing. Goodnight.
