Bleh. Don't wanna work.
Apr. 8th, 2005 11:24 amOkay, so. Definitely making a to-do list for this weekend, since I can't seem to get anything done without one. Also, making it in my journal, since hopefully other people being able to see when I cross something off will shame me into doing actual work.
-- Check train schedule. Looks like I'll be leaving Florida mid-morning on May 24 and arriving home late at night on May 25. Hopefully I can afford an actual bed, because... 32 hours in a coach seat? And that's the minimum time. There will be delays. Delays from hell. I want a roomette.
-- Call Mom about Saturday plans, summer plans, multitudinous other stuff. Awesome, she's willing to pay the difference for me to get a roomette on the train.
-- Finish reading Out of the Silent Planet. ... Dude. I cannot recommend this highly enough. 1940s sci-fi by C.S. Lewis! It's the first of a trilogy! On Mars! I have really got to read the other ones this summer.
-- Fill out job applications. Ow. Evil, thy name is job applications.
-- Go back through Mrs. Dalloway and find a thesis somewhere. Haaaaaaaate. Also, hate.
-- Find two poems that relate to that thesis.
-- Come up with several sub-topics about the thesis.
-- Post-it Mrs. Dalloway and the poems.
-- Write the outline.
-- Research and write about the library and founding of the Chinese Civic Center.
-- Do laundry.
-- Read The Sword of Rhiannon.
Right. Off to work, then.
