Okay, so. I am taking a Very Unscientific Poll. The idea here is to show the data to someone I know and see if it affects his opinion at all. I'd really like it if everyone who reads this would give me your answers in a comment; feel free to comment anonymously, since the information involved is fairly personal. Also, if you'd like to steer people who wouldn't normally read my journal in the direction of this poll, that would be terrific -- I'd love to have more data than just "a few people on my friendslist said" to show him. Not exactly. They both made it very clear that they expected to divorce after me and my sister graduated, but then my mother died, so its sort of a moot point now.

6. when i was very young, my father. then as soon as i became a teenager, my father sort of dropped out of my life, and my mother took over.

note: i was a very reserved child who never would confide in her parents what she wanted for christmas and would be secretly heartbroken when they didn't know. i suppose that implies a strange distance from both of them, to begin with.

Single female until I was 16, after that male-female couple (although I'm not sure it counts since the male was only 13 years older than me...)

I have to explain why I had to answer all the questions. My parents didn't get divorced until late last year and early this year, when it was finalized. However, in the interest of honesty, I had to answer "yes" when asked if my parents divorced while I was still living there, as I didn't move out until later than the divorce.

well they never divorced, but my dad wasn't around/involved that much, lots of my friends just assumed my mom was single or that he didn't realy exist or something

More or less equal, although my father worked at home so I saw him more. I do feel a bit closer to my mother, though.
