Oooooooooooooof.
Jun. 13th, 2005 09:37 pmI am so. Tired. Right now.
But on the other hand, I have 2 JOBS OMG. One of them has steady hours but doesn't pay much; the other one pays better but has kinda unpredictable hours.
I started at the card shop today -- that's the steady-hours one. I am the master of all things cash-register-like. I even have magic scanner powers, which I discovered when the owner was training me and wanted to show me what to do if something didn't scan right, so she gathered up 8 things that never scan right and handed them over, and all of them scanned perfectly. Since I have never worked a cash register before, this is exciting.
... I just hope no one ever tries to pay me with a check, ever, because she never actually got around to teaching me that part.
The other one is working for a test-prep company. I'll probably be teaching some -- most likely one-on-one and small groups, since classroom teaching requires a steadier schedule and a lot more training -- but I'm starting out working on a project to prepare solutions for existing versions of a test. Which is exciting and they wanna give me lots of money yay!
Okay, now I'm gonna go take a shower. Because I just went swimming. Because apparently I have morphed into a person who swims laps and eats, like, soybeans. (I swear. My mom snuck soybeans into my dinner. It was terrifying.)
