Here is one thing to amuse your minds:

# 1 Atheistic Paganism
# 2 Agnostic Church
# 3 Ethical Culture
# 4 Pantheism
# 5 Secular Humanism
# 6 Unitarian Universalism
# 7 Deism
# 8 Scientific Pantheism
# 9 Taoism
# 10 Atheism a la American Atheists
# 11 Theraveda Buddhism
# 12 Rationalism
# 13 Transhumanism
# 14 Zen Atheism
# 15 Freethought, Church of
# 16 Confucianism
# 17 Relativism, moral/cultural
# 18 Randaism (Objectivism)

Which rather interests me, because my actual religion comes in sixth. Second is Agnostic Church, and since I am, in fact, agnostic, that rather makes sense. Atheistic Paganism, perhaps I shall look into that. And also, I have a lot to say. First, I'm not in the best of moods today. Some people know why. (You, for a start, copper-top. Although that name rather pisses you off, doesn't it?) Second, I've done some interesting thinking today; perhaps my tendency toward thought was provoked by the fact that I did not eat any lunch or much breakfast. I'll be posting a conversation on the topic of interacting with humans later, when it's done. (I'm having the conversation right now.)

The last thing I have to say is to one particular person, who knows who he is (I hope). I'm not sure if he'll be able to read this, but I hope so. Now addressing him directly: I wanted to say this before you left, but what with it being bloody early in the morning and all, well, for whatever reasons I didn't. (Now to the point.) Whatever path you walk, I -

Oh, bugger. Look, I can't make this sound good enough to suit me. I love you, all right? Bah. Damn perfectionism.

Your religion came in first for me, mine real one came in ninth, I think the writers of the test were fairly incompetent...

I don't know... I would have to say that there are certainly people out there who consider themselves one religion but aren't a very good fit for it. I know a girl who calls herself a Buddhist but would probably be happier if she were something else (I'm not sure what). But, if you're well-suited to the beliefs of your religion, perhaps there is something wrong. I can see myself fitting somewhere other than UUism; many UUs could. Not Atheistic Paganism, though. I'm not an atheist. Why didn't that occur to me earlier?

::nods in agreement:: I concur with Betsy; sometimes the label we use is not always the most accurate one to convey things like philosophical beliefs. Besides, there is the whole 'a rose by any other name' dynamic going on. A rose that proclaims itself to be a wet dog still smells like a rose to any who take the time to stop and give it a sniff.
(::giggles:: well, there goes a bit of repression. I don't do that nearly as often as I want to... )
