Huzzah, finally got internet connection to work (anyone heard about lovely big flood in Houston this weekend? wiped out the university's phone lines, and I'm connected through the university of course...). Need to call several people (most notably Summer, I'm supposed to be calling her back right now but instead I'm updating this thing because it's my only chance to do so for a while). Next time I update will probably not be until after spending several days with my VERY conservative-Christian-type relatives... wish me luck... I'm gonna try not to talk while I'm around them because I'm so afraid I'll mention Summer or the Rally I just went to (a Unitarian youth group thing) or something like that. And my mom is becoming all weird about updating her will and who will be my guardian if she and my dad die before I'm 18 (hardly likely, but she's getting very worked up about who gets stuck with me if it happens). The aunt who was originally supposed to be my guardian is now divorced with 3 little boys of her own to deal with, she does NOT need to add me. Ugh, I find this all very upsetting. And on top of it all none of my relatives live in the same school district, my guardian would have to let me move in with Katy or something. Ugh. Why am I even thinking about this? Moving on now.
God, just realized I won't even be able to call Summer on her birthday, I'll be stuck in the Home of the Christian Relatives by then. Shit!
Rally was interesting. Spent a lot of time with this sweet guy named Ian, not entirely sure whether he thought we had hooked up or what. As far as I'm concerned he's just a good friend. And I got to introduce my friend Brooke to Grantly... that was great. She'd never been to a Rally before and was a little surprised to see, during the Saturday night dance, our beloved resident drag queen... she'll have to get a little less easily shocked if she's going to keep coming to Rallies.
Anyways... I really should quit playing on the computer and call Summer now. With luck we'll be able to do something this afternoon. Hmm, wonder if there's anyone with a car who owes me a favor... don't feel like being driven places by my mom. Oh well, I can't think of anyone else. Gonna go call her and see if we can set something up.
