elsajeniAm in Minnesota, hooray! (It just took me five tries to correctly spell "hooray". I should go to bed.) The hotel has upgraded their internet access since the last time we were here -- it's gone from "Yes, we have wireless! (But only in the lobby, and only if you sit at this one particular really weird angle with your laptop above your head.)" to "Yes, we actually do have wireless! In the actual rooms! Really!" -- so I'll be able to make constant pointless LJ posts.
I saw a deer on the way here. It was standing on the side of the interstate, grazing and looking mildly annoyed at the loud cars. I pointed it out, which apparently was a mistake, because then my dad got extremely paranoid about the possibility of a deer jumping out in front of our car. (He kept referring to this possibility as "the deer attacking," which I think is fairly unlikely unless deer are much, much stupider than they look and regularly mistake Toyota Avalons for shrubbery.) Fortunately, we made it to Alexandria without being attacked by any deer.
