For the last few weeks, my antivirus program keeps popping up with the "OMG A VIRUS OMG HELP" message. It's always complaining about the same thing -- something about TrojanDuckySomethingorother? -- and it's always in more or less the same location, which is to say, one of the jumble-of-letters-and-numbers folders in the Temporary Internet Files folder. So far, it's been really easy to deal with -- the message will either say "Hey, I deleted a thing!", in which case I give it an antivirus-program treat and tell it it's a good boy, or it'll say "Hey, I found a thing and I can't delete it!", in which case I'll roll my eyes and go through the easy, but tedious and slightly irritating, process of finding the file and deleting it my own damn self, followed by another message popping up to tell me that the TrojanDuckySomethingorother is gone. But, like I say, it's tedious, and it keeps on happening, and it's getting on my nerves. Anyone know a better way to deal with this? Getting a different antivirus program isn't really an option, at least not right now, but maybe there's a setting I'm missing that I should change or something? Anyone?

It would be helpful if we knew what program you are using, and what OS. Then I can plug it into my technical-minded friends' collective wisdom.

1.) Make sure said anti-virus is updated
2.) Delete ALL temporary internet files
3.) Use a different browser perhaps
4.) Tell said anti-virus to scan the entire computer for viruses and see if the daddy of the many mini-virii can be located and dealt with.

5.) Turn off the computer and encase the entire thing in concrete.
