Jul. 1st, 2001 12:39 pmHmm. I should call Emmalee to see if she wants to go rock climbing soon. She promised she'd go with me sometime. Although come to think of it I believe she's in Minnesota right now. Damn joint custody. Or maybe she already went for this year and is now back... either way I'm too lazy to deal with making arrangements, she lives too far away. Maybe I'll call Katy instead, I can probably guilt her into going with me.
Has anyone noticed that I tend to be a person who asks questions in my journal entries? I want comments! But nobody ever posts any! Damn you all!
For no apparent reason I have become obsessed with banned books. I have decided that if Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury's cautionary tale about the dangers and soceital consequences of outlawing knowledge, is banned in any school district in the U.S., I will move to a hut in Siberia. Those of you who want to get rid of me, all you need to do is bring me proof that a school district has, in fact, banned this book. Those of you who want to keep me around (whether for reasons of friendship, because you enjoy fighting with me (Katy), or because you find me amusing), just ignore my intention to move to Siberia, I'll probably end up staying in Houston regardless.
Huzzah, parents want to go out to lunch someplace yummy. Although it doesn't solve the annoying problem that they keep trying to make me eat when I'm not hungry. But oh well, I can get through half a cheeseburger or something. Probably further posts later.
