Yeah, I'm making New Year's resolutions. Very pointless, I know. But maybe if I have them as official clearly defined goals... no, I can't really come up with a way to make this make sense. Call me a lemming, then. Here they are.
1) Finish Draft 1 of this accursed novel, ideally by the end of January. Right now I'm in the midst of Chapter 34, which is about three-quarters of the way through the story and hopefully will be longer and more relevant than Chapter 33 was.
2) Get people to read/critique Draft 1 (once I finish it). So far I think I have 1 person officially signed up for this, that being Disgruntled. Anyone else want to volunteer?
3) Do a much better job of staying in touch with Aaron, Lyz, Anna, Antonia, and Sam. I haven't talked to Anna even once since July, and Antonia and Sam only a couple of times. I really need to do better than that. (Other Simon's Rock people, too.)
4) Go climbing on a regular basis.
5) Do not fuck up any courses or other stuff out of sheer laziness. In other words, occasionally at least consider doing calculus homework. And learn HYS parts more than 2 weeks before the concerts, for God's sake.
6) Give up caffeine. No, really this time.
That's about it. See you folks later. Off to try to write some more (I'll never finish at an average rate of 150 words a day).
