This is the announcement of a formal hiatus from livejournal. Yes, I will still read. I just won't update. No commenting, either. I will not be writing in any livejournal for at least a week.

Why am I pretending that any of you care?

If you feel that you are pretending that we care, it is probably because you are unsure whether or not we do. Believe me, that insecurity is unwarranted.

Betsy, you should know by now that we all care. Even if I were not able to comfortably speak on the behalf of others, I can say that I for one care more than I can truly express. It's good to take time to think. We all have a lot on our minds right now. I'm doing a lot of thinking too. Just remember that we are here for you if you need us, and I am here for you if you need me.
