sitting on the corner of my bed eating Swedish Fish and deciding that really there's no good reason for me not to post. So I'm back once more. I read through the little magazine that my class at Simon's Rock produced and it made me laugh about eight hundred times, especially seeing where people (Sam) had signed their pages for me. Reading my pages was interesting too. The stuff I picked to put in there... damn, why did I ever put that wretched poem in? Ugh. And... ugh. I must have been feeling very stupidly confident in all my work at the time.
I realized the other day that I'm actually forcing myself to not work on the novel. Kind of stupid... yeah. Anyway, I finally got through the death & funeral scenes, which took forever and were somewhat awful, then wrote a really really poorly explained scene wherein the narrator and her ex-boyfriend get back together solely because I had a perfect scene that would improve the overall quality of the story and they had to get back together for said scene to work at all. Basically, it is no longer a novel which I feel great about. It is now a very bad novel. But I'm going to finish it anyway because I am very very stubborn.
Off to clean the house in preparation for the army of relatives arriving on Christmas Day. Oh, Christ, that's the day after tomorrow. Errrgh. Anyone want to take me to the movies or something while they're here? Save me from the Scary Christian Uncle...

Hope your relatives don't give you too much trouble, hehe, and Merry Christmas!
