Oof. Czech family reunion. Not gonna eat again for a week. At least. And probably never going to eat poppyseeds again. Ugh. Damn food-oriented aunts.
Actually, I wouldn't mind some celery or something. Just so long as it's not dessert or any form of casserole.
I think I've finally got a handle on the small children in my branch of the family. On the other hand, three or four of my cousins are now starting families, so it may be that I am speaking too soon. Either way, my award for cutest male cousin is split between Reagan (18 months) and Graham (7 months); my award for cutest female cousin goes to Jessica (also around 18 months).
I've now had a full week of Rice classes and have reached several conclusions. First, I adore the thirteen-year-olds who want to be my friends in my 9:00 class. They are wonderful. They are absolutely the hope of the future. Huzzah for them. Second, if the thirteen-year-old who wants to be my friend in my 10:00 class doesn't stop pestering me, I'm going to hurt her. And, third, my 11:00 class needs to stop growing right this minute. It's getting claustrophobic in there.
I'm really tired and going to head off to peaceful oblivion now. Good night to all.

Date: 2003-06-16 09:49 am (UTC)(I have a Scottish last name. However, that would be explained by the fact that the Polish Jews on the other side of the family - the non-Czech side - came through Ellis Island with something unpronounceable and got handed a new one.)
