Look! A new icon! (Which, credit where credit is due, I got from
red_moon_rising, who told me to credit
arabella_o.)
Music at church today was a good program, all Beatles and John Lennon. Although, possibly not a good idea to try and get the entire congregation to sing "Imagine," since no two people on earth agree on the tune and rhythm to that song and most of them don't know the words either and so it comes out sounding kind of like, "Imagine... moo... moo... something, something, dreamer... moo."
But, I would like to express my intense fondness for the Emerson Rock Band (they still need a name), which is very impressive even if they are basically, well, my friends' fathers, and I'm standing there thinking how great that guitar solo is and no longer really noticing that it's just Bryce's dad playing it, who I've known since I was something like three years old, and I've babysat for the lead singer's daughter and written a complicated fairy tale about cheese to pacify her while her dad was in church, but at the moment never mind all that shit because right now it's just music.
Okay, so I'm a music geek. Never mind that. I will simply leave you with this beautiful thought from John Lennon:
"Imagine... something, something... moo."
