Well, Happy New Year, I suppose. I celebrated with a James Bond movie (Diamonds are Forever, which I think has the best theme song of all, although Sean Connery is a bit disappointing when he takes off his shirt to reveal that he has some serious chub going on) and El Cheapo-brand sparkling grape juice. (I personally think we should have sparkling grape juice in the house at all times. That stuff is good. Even though it generally smells like ass.)

We saw Peter Pan yesterday, and I have to say, if that's as closely based on the actual book as everyone says it is, then that book is a lot sexier than I remember it being. It's brilliant, though. You have to go see it. Please go see it. It's beautiful and perfect and very, very right. The only thing that I can't understand, and this is in no way a criticism of the movie, because I couldn't understand it in the book, either, and I don't know that I could ever understand it, is why anyone would want to go back to England and grow up, if their other option was staying in Neverland and never growing up and come on, there are mermaids and pirates and fairies and shit! Why would Wendy leave? Why would anyone leave? (One thing that is sort of a criticism of the movie: Peter doesn't have a British accent most of the time, and when he does, it's a very questionable one. Oh, and they don't actually show him waiting outside the window and hearing Wendy tell stories to her children. They should.)

Also, Jason Isaacs is brilliant. (And kind of sexy, but never mind that, that's entirely beside the point.)

Oh, and here's something that comes as no surprise:
Literature
You are Literature.
Your strength is your ability to understand human
nature, and you tend to equate truth and beauty
with humanity. You get along well with Poetry
and Drama.

What form of art are you?
