tell me what to do!
Jan. 27th, 2004 08:21 pmSo, the highlight of my day was getting a vicious paper cut from the envelope full of advertisements for graduation announcements, flashing pens, and other assorted crap that I got at the assembly yesterday. (I actually am kind of drawn to the flashing pen. I can't help it. It's shiny.) That's probably not a good thing.
I'm almost finished with the eagle cross-stitch project. Well, "almost" in the sense of "all I have left is a huge swath of cloud and a zillion little areas of backstitching," but hey, not so long ago I only had half the eagle done, so this is serious progress. Oh, shit, and I have to get that lettering book I've been meaning to get so I can put the inscription on there. (I'm labeling it "Gwaihir the Windlord." Yes, that's the name of the head eagle in Lord of the Rings. Yes, I'm a dork.) That eliminates some of the clouds, too, in fact, because I'm putting the inscription in the sky. Huzzah.
I have two things that I would like reader input on, so that's going to take up the rest of this entry. Thrilling, yes?
One: My tentative plan for this summer is to grab a friend, catch a Greyhound, and go, well, I don't know where. That's what I'm asking you. My intended direction is approximately west, since I'd like to make a stop in, um, somewhere in California to see Jon. Aside from that, I've got no idea. My geography skills aren't good enough for me to do extensive planning on my own. What do you think? Where should I go?
Two: I haven't done any revising in a couple of weeks. The next time you see me, whether it's in person or on AIM or whatever, please tell me to go revise. I'm only on, like, Chapter 5, and my intention was originally to do 4 or 5 chapters a week. I am not accomplishing this. So tell me to revise.
