How to achieve infamy in your Chinese 101 class:

Step One:
Wait until the day that your prof holds up pictures of famous people and asks the class to describe them in Chinese.

Step Two:
Wait until the prof holds up a picture of Yao Ming.

Step Three:
Listen as your classmates say "He's very pale" (hen bai) and "He's very, very, very tall" (hen gao hen gao hen gao -- repetitiveness is not frowned upon in this class).

Step Four:
Say, "Yao Ming is hot" (Yao Ming hen haokan).

Step Five:
Receive extremely suspicious looks from your classmates.

Yeah! (You probably do not remember this, but the Rockets officially signed him while we were at Simon's Rock. My mommy sent me the newspaper clipping and I was very excited.)
